Configure Display Preferences and Level 5 Behaviour

Set personal preferences for the canvas display, search, and Level 5 object loading.

Open the preferences panel

Click your user name or the settings icon in the top right corner, then select Preferences.

Available preferences

Landing page

Choose what you see when you open an application:

  • Welcome page (default): the tile-based welcome page.
  • Imaging menu: the Investigation panel directly.

Preferred language for AI explanations

Select the language for AI-generated explanations. Supported languages include English, French, German, Italian, and Chinese.

Full Call Graph notify threshold

Set the maximum number of objects before CAST Imaging asks you to confirm before loading a Full Call Graph. Default: [TODO: default value].

Advanced search configuration

Set the default search behaviour:

  • Case sensitive on or off
  • Search by name or full name
  • Match position (start, anywhere, end)

Welcome Guide pop-up

Enable or disable the pop-up that appears when you click a Welcome page tile.

Level 5 display settings

When a node at Level 5 has more than 500 children, CAST Imaging shows a selective expand dialog. Use this dialog to:

  • Search for specific objects within the node.
  • Select the objects you want to expand.
  • Set the Expand with option (Children, Callers/Callees, etc.).

There is no preference to change the 500-object threshold. To increase overall performance for large views, see Monitor and tune performance.
