Quick Start — Windows

Install CAST Imaging on a single Windows machine and run your first analysis.

This guide gets you from zero to a working CAST Imaging instance on one Windows machine. It is designed for proofs of concept and demos.

Before you start

Who this is for IT administrator setting up a demo environment
Role required Local administrator on the Windows machine
Prerequisites Windows Server 2016 or later; 16 GB RAM minimum; internet access to download installers

Step 1: Install CAST Storage Service

CAST Storage Service is a pre-configured PostgreSQL package. It stores the results of the code analysis.

Step 2: Install AIP Core and AIP Node

AIP Core is the analysis engine. AIP Node connects it to AIP Console.

Step 3: Install CAST Imaging

CAST Imaging is the browser-based visualization layer.
