Upgrade an Existing Installation
Apply a new CAST Imaging release to an existing installation.
Before you start

| Role required | Local server admin (Windows) or Docker/Kubernetes admin |
| Prerequisites | Backup taken; release notes for the new version reviewed |
Back up first
Always take a full backup before upgrading. See Back up and restore.
Windows installer
Use the ImagingSystemUpdate.exe tool to apply the update.

Replace the container images with the new version tags.

After the upgrade
Run these checks after every upgrade:

Resolve cache issues
If the interface does not load correctly after an upgrade, clear the server-side cache manually.
